There’s a good chance you or your family members have been impacted by a School of Education & Human Sciences graduate. What you may not realize is our alumni participate in White House Tribal forums, make other’s dreams come true as Disney cast members, direct the college experience as student housing leaders and keep professional athletes in top shape in the NFL.

A degree from KU means our graduates are prepared to expand the understanding of learning and help our communities meet the needs of their members. By supporting our desire to offer more student scholarships, more resources for faculty and more opportunities for innovation, you will make it possible for us to reinvent education, embrace technology and discover new methods to foster the leaders we need for our ever-evolving global world. More than that, you will ensure our society thrives far into the future.

PARTNERING WITH US

Now is the time to make a transformative gift to the School of Education & Human Sciences to address the following priorities:

Providing renewable scholarships for students to grow our future professionals

School of Education & Human Sciences graduates serve our communities and excite students about learning. Salaries have not kept up with the increased cost of higher education, however. Financial concerns cause aspiring professionals to give up their dreams at a time when many communities and industries have positions to fill.

Investing in the faculty who inspire tomorrow’s leaders in education and human sciences fields

Our faculty members are leaders in teaching and research who raise the stature of our school and university. They are nationally known researchers with federal funding, publication authors and creative innovators who are solving today’s societal challenges. Expanding research funding and opportunities for faculty will enhance their expertise, leadership capabilities and prestige. Attracting and keeping key faculty at KU through research and teaching support is the goal of this initiative.

Fueling entrepreneurship and innovation

Higher education is changing, and your support will ensure the School of Education & Human Sciences leads this evolution. We aim to develop and nurture new endeavors such as hosting annual Innovation and Entrepreneurship incubators, funding great ideas. We spearhead initiatives to provide learning through microcrendentials, competency-based programs and other modern approaches. The school fosters collaborative environments that spark new ideas and practices.
