Our world faces urgent, complex challenges. We know that no single discipline, no one campus, can alone build a better world. But together —across our health system, academic medical center, and all the schools on the Hill — we work relentlessly to imagine a better Kansas and create a better world.
Our world faces urgent, complex challenges. We know that no single discipline, no one campus, can alone build a better world. But together —across our health system, academic medical center, and all the schools on the Hill — we work relentlessly to imagine a better Kansas and create a better world.
In support of the University of Kansas, The University of Kansas Health System and Kansas Athletics, this campaign matches passion with purpose, forging the path toward a better tomorrow.
From scholarships that make college accessible to hands-on experiences that make new graduates marketable, your investment will help students create a bright future — for themselves and for us all.
KU builds strong communities here and around the world. From the KU Cancer Center that will save the life of someone you love, to a social worker who will provide hope to a questioning teenager, to artwork in a rural town square that inspires creativity, your investment will build a society buoyed by connection and uplift.
We are excited about the future — and we know it holds urgent, complex challenges that no one discipline can solve alone. Your investment in our revolutionary science, extraordinary teaching and undergraduate research will ignite the curiosity and action needed to brighten our future.
Our ambitious $2.5 billion goal will transform both our university and the world as we know it. How will we do it? Read on.
On the heels of our comprehensive cancer center designation, we envision building a top-notch research and clinical space that will put patients at the center of science and clinical care, making KU Cancer Center a global destination for the very best cancer treatment.
We plan to build a 21st century destination cancer center that will enhance our basic, translational and clinical research efforts by stimulating collaboration and new approaches to optimizing outcomes for our patients.
With 350 cancer researchers and clinicians and more than 150 disease-specific oncologists, expanded space will foster multidisciplinary collaborative efforts that keep KU Cancer Center focused on providing outstanding cancer care that includes discovery of new treatment therapeutics and ultimately finding a cure.
Kansas Athletics’ purpose is to profoundly enhance student-athletes’ lives through an unrivaled commitment to academic enrichment, health and well-being, character development and the pursuit of competitive excellence.
The Gateway District will transform the north entrance to campus in a profound way to drive student enrollment and economic benefit to Kansas. The project will develop a new campus gateway, multi-use space and upgraded football facilities, all of which will enhance KU’s ability to recruit and retain students.
The most innovative component of this project is the development of multi-use facilities to be used throughout the year to generate revenue for academic programming and student success. In addition to the conference center, and as suggested by the project consultant, the project will potentially include a mix of arts and entertainment, dining, retail, office space, lodging and other uses that support economic development and the university’s academic mission.
At KU, we believe anyone who wishes to pursue a college degree should have that opportunity, and we work tirelessly to make sure barriers to that pursuit are removed. From scholarships to emergency funding, we make much-needed funds available to our deserving students.
In any given year, more than 8,100 students rely on privately funded scholarships from KU Endowment. General scholarships are available for incoming freshmen, transfer and graduate students. Other gifts fund school or department-specific scholarships, study abroad experiences or extracurricular activities like our nationally acclaimed debate team.
KU Research’s mission is to address problems of worldwide significance, deliver solutions that make a difference to Kansas and the region, and promote an inclusive community of responsible inquiry and innovation for students and scholars.
Through initiatives like KU Innovation Park, we can attract top-tier researchers to KU, growing our community of innovation, entrepreneurship and commercialization.
KU is committed to conducting bold and impactful research that addresses the key challenges faced by the state, nation and world. Our collaborative research environment promotes innovation and entrepreneurship while giving our students and faculty myriad opportunities to work together. Through financial and administrative support, KU will recruit, retain and recognize researchers working at the highest level, building a research enterprise that results in an exceptional learning community that lifts each other, contributes to the wider scholarly enterprise and advances society.
