Silos are important on farms, but they don’t belong on college campuses. Support students in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences (“the College”) as they break down barriers and connect every field, cultivating imagination in a world of possibilities.

We are excited about our future. And we know it contains urgent, complex challenges that no one discipline can solve. The College contains multitudes. The sciences, humanities, arts, and social sciences come together here, in accidental and purposeful collision, to create new thought and forge powerful solutions.
The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences prepares graduates not just for their first job, but for their fifth. The combination of theoretical learning, hands-on experimentation, and community service makes our students the Swiss Army knives of problem-solvers – flexible, adaptive, resilient and efficient.
Even more important, the College prepares students for rich lives. The art history class that leads to a life of museum visits, the physics course that provides a fresh understanding of global energy challenges, the psychology lab that builds empathy, the dance class that begins a life of expressive movement: formative experiences inspire our students to craft lives full of meaning and appreciation.
Now is the time to make a transformative gift to the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences to address the following priorities:

Our students are central to everything we do at the University of Kansas. They come to learn, to develop and to participate in the classroom, on campus and across research projects.
